Sibelius worked on the string quartet Voces intimae; he conducted En Saga and Finlandia in London and Valse triste and Spring Song in Cheltenham. He met Debussy in London and went to the Sibelius Evening at the Music Club. After negotiations he decided to resume cooperation with Breitkopf & Härtel. In Berlin he underwent a post-operative medical examination; he worked on his string quartet and the songs of his opus 57.
