Study trip to Berlin

Route

Helsinki (boat)-Lübeck (train)-Berlin. Return Berlin (train)-Lübeck (boat)-Stockholm-Helsinki. Visit to Leipzig in December.

Accommodation

First Marienstrasse 4, then from the second week in October Magdeburgerstrasse 31. Moved lodgings at the beginning of February: new address Kurfürstenstrasse 40, landlord Herr Bernhardt.

During the journey, Sibelius studied composition under Alfred Becker. The studies were financed by a grant.
